Three weeks later, a friend had a bad reaction to the same batch. Lab testing later showed the product was primarily synthetic cathinone with trace MDMA — the Mecke test alone couldn’t distinguish them. The vendor’s reviews never caught it because nobody was testing beyond a single reagent.

Reagent kits are the first line of defense against misrepresented products, but they’re frequently misunderstood. A single reagent tells you what’s likely not in a sample, not what’s actually there. Why Single-Reagent Testing Fails
